Barry, from what I can tell with the cowl there is a small overlap of the firewall so that with the cowl flaps slightly open airflow can get through, the firewall should be rounded off as well.
You got a smoking deal onn your motor (pun intended) it would be real cool to get smoke coming out at the scale exhaust location, dont know how that would be done though?
