I don't like to blame others for my dumb mistakes but,,,,, when I flew my plane into the ground there were spectators there that probably shouldn't have been. I was concerned about the direction the plane took on take off and was afraid it of it getting too close to them. The grass was "stubby" and kept grabbing and turning me around. I held full right rudder and got it up. It started to climb at a steep angle and I tried to controll with elevator and cutting back on throttle. It wanted to go left but when I pushed right aileron I must have added up elevator. Anyway it ended up sticking out of the ground like a flag pole. I've learned that for beginners, me at least, I don't need anything to take my concentration off the job at hand. The people that were behind me were a concern, something else to think about. Oh, did I mention the puppy running around? I know that we all have family that wants to watch but if you aren't flying at a field where there are boundries or have someone to help get the plane trimmed properly the first flight these things are going to happen.
