RE: SIG Ryan STA special kit by Maxy Hester
Hello JW.I guess all the closets have been searched for a new project. It seems I got the bug to build my STA a few weeks ago .I bought the Sig kit about six or so years ago and kept it on the shelf ,it seemed a bit intimidating at the time but after building a few other planes and a scratch built Waco I think I can do it justice now.I have used the plywood forms to build the laminated tail feather and wing parts before and that system works great.I also thought about using Flight Metal as well for the sheeting on the fuse .I have never used this product before but I know others have.I was also considering using the original plastic parts supplied in the kit as molds to make fiberglass ones.Any thoughts on this idea ?I like the work you have done so far and I will be watching your progress with great interest!
