Default RE: New Funtana 125

I have 5 tanks of gas through the RCG 26 now and am ready to start tuning it up and finding the right prop. The only prop I had for it is an 18-6 which is the maximum recommended. I think it is over proped right now and running rich because it is only turning 7100 rpms which makes it fly very slow. The engine has never died on me so I have kept it rich for the breaking.

We are going to town tomorrow so I will try to pick up a 17-6 and a 16-8. One of our young pilots in the club had a RCG 26 and says it ran best on the 16-8. Hopefully I can pick up some substantial rpms and increase the planes flying speed.

I have tried to knife edge a couple of times and it seems to pull to the canopy heavily. Loops and rolls are OK after I increased my expo some. At this time I am a little disappointed, it doesn't seem to fly as good as the Freenzy I am replacing and certainly does not compare with my Focus Sport. Hopefully as I get things sorted out I will be more pleased.
