Sorry to hear about your crash of the Seawind. You are so right, this plane is a joy to fly off land and water. I am happy to hear you have order another Seawind and be back in the air soon. What I do for landing on water, I like to go low over the water, full flaps, no power and let the speed fall off and the plane just slip right into the water with no bounce!!
I do the same thing on land. Low, full flaps, no power, and just a touch of up elevator, and she just sit on the mains and the nose will be on in 2 to 3 sec!!!
Have fun on the rebuild and get back into the air soon.
