My issue would be how rich I would have to run it to get only 11.5k with an 11X5 and how much damage I would be doing to the motor running it that rich, it's not a Fox 35!
Just to get you up to speed, no one is suggesting running the engine rich to get to a specific rpm, but rather changing the load of the prop to operate the engine at a different rpm range when set to correct mixture.
