Um what is the price range. The Blade 400 is ok at the bottom end or a dx8 with a trex 450 pro would be higher end. But if he wants the best electric full size to learn on I would say trex 600 due to size and parts availability. But that is a heck of an investment. I would say certainly get a phoenix simulator.
