i talked to the shop im working for now, and a different shop that i could have gotten the internship through, and both require education, and both only employ people from schools like these. plus 5 years experience in the real world

very true, i have almost 4years of auto education and still work as a oil tech and bearly a apprentice. check to see what diesle mechanics are looking for, eductation, expiriance, both or none, then decide if you need it. some dealers will give you free training.
