RE: Great Planes Combat Spitfire!
Correctamundo. I cut kits for RC COMBAT. Unfortunately that's not really what this thread is about. The GP "Combat ARFs" are so ill suited for combat that no one in his right mind would use one. The guys posting here seem mainly interested in having fun with them, putting in retracts, electrifying, overpowering, etc. So my input is go ahead and have fun guys, that's what we do this for. What this forum, and combat in general really need, however, is pilots who actually compete in AMA sanctioned events and talk about how to do that in the RC Combat forum of RCU. A topic that is somewhat out of place in this discussion thread if I read it right.
Nonetheless, if anyone reading this wants a true COMBAT kit for actual competition, yes I do have 2 kits currently in production. The Ki-43 Oscar and as noted, a P-47N Thunderbolt. Both are designed to be 2948 and 3048 legal (AMA Scale Combat) Sell price $65 plus shipping.
