Default RE: Will my Transmitter Work for Better Gliders?

ORIGINAL: jeffmtnman

This thread answers one of my questions, that my DX6i will work for a sailplane.
My other question. Can anyone offer up suggestions as to what receiver and servos should I use. I'm putting together my first sailplane. It is a partially built GreatPlanes Spirit. Requires 2 or 3 servos depending on weather or not you hook up the ailerons.

Thanks,
Jeff

It's the only culture some people have.
There are three spirits, 2M, Elite and 100. Which do you have?

Assuming it is the 2M RES then you need the third servo for the spoilers not ailerons.

Iwould suggest Hitec HS-82 or HS 85s. Mount them in front of the wing to shift weight forward, reducing the amount of weight needed to balance the plane.

AR500 could work. Ar6200 would be better.
