RE: DLA 112 ???
Ok, now, its time for you to put up some answers. You are always accusing others of putting up statements with no back ground. Now produce:
1. Your statement about the majority of RC gas engines sold to the UAV market, hard to believe, give me some stats, and WHICH is the better one you refer to? Hard for me to fathom with all the RC'ers out there with gas engines. Must be one HUGE UAV market!
2. I have 5 gas engines, how many do you have? I fly mine week in and week out, gives some credibility to my statements.
3. Why does an average modeler really care about horsepower? Thrust is the basic concern!
4. The "Our little engines", it that engines you are doing the R&D on or the RC community as a whole? Needs clarification.
5. Your statement, " So some companies do have dynos,", precludes that not all engine manufactors have dynos so those are posting misleading information? Which companies have the dynos? We would all like to know so we can make an intelligent decision on which engine to buy.
Ijust don't understand why you continue on about the HP facts, measurement, etc. Are you a competitive engine distributor or someone who has interest in another type engine. Why don't you go harp on DL, DLE, DA and the others. I would like to know how they arrive at their HPratings they post. Once you arrive at an answer PLEASE come back with factual information to back up your claims!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides, not all of use are as fortunate as others when it comes to expendable income to use on hobbies, however, the China engine may not be the brand name one but it still gets the job done. I can guarantee on flying day they are just as proud of their "China powered/built" airplane as the one who has invested thousands in theirs.
Case in point: You don't have to have Nike Airs to play basketball, just the love of the game!!!
