You can cast metal just like resin. I took a 1/18 scale rim, sanded of the molded on rubber tire, and then made a pattern, and cast all the metal rims. I was able to find some silicone slot car tires that fit the rims perfectly so I used those instead of contining on with the Tamiya rubber.
