Default RE: xf5f Grumman Skyrocket

Hello,

I am thinking sombody out there knows the answer to this question. I am looking for plans for a Grumman Skyrocket. I have been unable to find anything through my search so I figured I would try to employ some help from readers here at RC Universe. I am looking to build something in the G23 / 26 or G38 size range. I saw a magazine article on one years ago, I am guessing 97 or 98 but I can't seem to find the magazine in my vast (messy) collection. For those unfamiliar the Skyrocket was a twin engine test bed built by Gramman that looked like and bulldog with wings. The twin radials stuck out in front of the front of the fuse and it had a tail like an ercoupe or B24 with a little dihedral in it. I have read that it was one of the fastest prop driven planes ever produced. If you know of anyone who has a good set of plans for this aircraft please let me know.

Thanks

Are you still looking for the Skyrocket plans? I have a set drawn by Walter A. Oetzell in 1/8 scale - a true work of art and 100% scale. I am saying this because I compared it to 1/4 scale blueprint drawings that I got directly from Grummans archives many years ago. If you are still interested, email me and I can make you a copy. The wingspan is 63" but could very easily be blown up to a larger scale.
