RE: yt pantera
i think the reason for the disclamer is the fact that there are no instructions at all in the pre production kits and a lot of the building is left up to you (not a bad thing as far as some rtf kits go).having spent a week giving a good once over a few points might help someone looking at one.i for one bought this because i normally fly scale and was getting a bit bored with the film covered twin boom type sport jets and wanted someting that assembles quickly at the patch,at less than a grand i can put up with a few niggles.
if you get a pre prod kit have a good look at some of the glue joints and run around the m with hysol, also the moulding on the fus needs cleaning up in a few places (purely cosmetic)having said that it is quite a good substantial moulding.
i think this kit at the pre production price is a bit of a bargain if you are prepaired to do a bit of work and supply a few quality fittings(horns etc).the undercarriage looks to be upto the job but i would run a bit of extra glue around the mounts, very common with a few ARTF sport jets,at least the mounts are made of wood not the soft packing case material found in some sport jets.
Biggest thing in its favour IT LOOKS SCALE.
