I'm in the later design stages of a 1/4 scale A-26 Invader and needed some good looking balloon tires around 10" for the mains.
I came across the ones linked below so I bought them, and I can attest that they aren't as heavy as they look because they have a plastic rim. You'll have to make an adapter bushing to fit to a smaller axle, but they have the right "look" for many of the giant size WWII and period aircraft.

And oh yea, the price is right.
