I didn't say anyone was
lying, just that the post was not the reality for this hull. The guys who helped develop this boat in LA are my friends (Mark and Tony) and I've worked with them testing/setting up this hydro. These are the experts on this boat - not you. None of us have gotten better than 54/55 mph on UL-1 setups with any props tried for oval setups. Even then we are pulling 90 amps, close to the limit for the motor and ESC. To get 60 mph would mean an amp draw well over 100 amps, not suitable for the motor and ESC if anyone wants them to last for more than one heat. A few riggers can get to 60 mph with the UL-1 setup, but the FE-30 is not quite a rigger.
BTW I pitted next to Brian when he made those SAW passes on your video, and that setup really heated up his motor and ESC after just two passes. Hardly a practical setup, which Brian freely admitted in numerous posts. A SAW setup does not use a turn fin, so it obviously cannot be "rock solid" in the turns.
Why don't you get one and try it instead of just talking about it?
