Hello
In regards to your problem the muffler is threaded you should first tighten the bolt and then you put the nut with a lock washer on and tighten it using a screw driver on the front end to hold the bolt from turning And i would suggest using some thread locker on the thread to make sure the nut doesn't vibrate off .
