Fishing rod....large hooked lure that you do not mind losing. If you are not good at casting,,find a fishing friend.

Best bet, if the plane is on a soft limb...is to cast the lure OVER the branch....let the lure come all of the way down...and pull on both lines...shaking the branch until she falls down..then, remove the lure,and rewind the plain line back onto the reel.
