Thanks for the report Isaac. I look forward to seeing one first hand some time.

If it's truly ''more powerful'' then it has to consume more energy. Electric motors don't create power, they just convert it. I suppose it could be more efficent therby putting more of the batteries power at the prop but I doubt the Q80 is so much more efficent than the C50 that you could notice it at the prop. The C50 is in the 95% efficency range. It's probably more of a power curve thing and the Q80 power curve hits your flying style better than the C50-14XL did or as I said above, it's consuming more energy.

Isaac, congratulations for your maiden flight. Just a little question, what´s your impression for the Q80 compared with the C50 14 XL you were flying in the OSMOSE.

Thank you.
Hello Ricardo,

The Q80 is more powerful than the C50 14 XL, It is also quieter and does not have that annoying gear box noise.

About the electricity consumption, It looks more or less the same, but I will know better when I will finish the Trimming Procedure.

Best Regards,

Hi Ricardo and mike,

About the energy consumption, the Q80 consume 5% - 10% more energy than the C50 14 XL, But it is more powerful than the C50 14 XL.

The Q80 consume about 3,500 - 3,600 milliampere for P11 in medium wind.

Best Regards,
