Default RE: New Sebart Wind 50E

John,

My Wind 110 came at 4,4kg and my guess is that yours with a lighter motor and 6S packs is not less than 3,8kg. At the same time Wind 50 should not come over 2.9kg ready to fly so there are 900g of difference which is huge! Also I have used both motocalc and Scorpion calc to simulate the numbers especially what comes out with A5016S on 6S and 16x10 (btw I had this setup on one of my Yaks so I know exactly) and 4025-250 on 5S and 17x10 and the difference is marginal in the favor of 6S setup.

On the other hand if one wants extra power in that case A5012S or 4025-10 on 5S and 16x10 can be used but expect the Amps to be >80. I have this setup on my Ms Wind 50. Luckily Ms Wind can fly much more slowly than a monoplane therefore I am between 40% and 70% throttle all the time and will therefore switch to 15x10. As I expect Wind 50 to be considerably accelerating in down lines this setup is not advisable from this point of view.

And Arch the 5S setup on the Osiris is with A5012S and yes it is a rocket setup, just very high Amps.
