Default RE: New Sebart Wind 50E

ORIGINAL: rcpattern

My Wind 50e with the 5S 5000 pack is right at 3170 grams. I'll put some time on it this weekend and play with props. With the 16S I should be able to run a larger prop than the 12S, so I'm starting with that idea and working from that. If I end up with a 6S setup, so be it, but I'm going to play with the 5S setup first.

I have yet to see an Osiris at 6lbs. Everyone I've talked to and everyone I've seen (2 of them) are closer to 7lbs ready to fly on 5S. Granted they are all running larger 5S packs as they are the ones they are flying in their 2m ships. I should be able to run a 17X10 or so on the 16S without any issues. So it might draw some more amps, so be it, I don't plan on staying at WOT very often anyway.

7 lbs appears to be the norm for the Osiris with Hacker 12S on 5000 TP V2 5S packs. I'm also running a PT 16X10 CF prop on it. Flys OK but then again I am using old packs with over 80 flights on them. My Angel S on the other hand is 6 lbs with an old Extrem Flight Torque motor and the same packs swinging a 15X10 APC.
