Received my Hawk & very nice it looks to. Removed the paper tape supporting the rudder to the fin & they fell apart. According to the instructions, the rudder is supposed to be hinged at the factory. It looks like the fixing is a long steel rod that enters from the bottom & goes through the three installed phenolic hinges. No sign of any rod in the kit. The problem I have, is the diameter of the rod looks like it's an imperial size (slightly larger than 2mm), not metric. This is not available here. Can anyone confirm if my guess at how the rudder is attached is right?
If so, I may have to get the rod from Comp arf, if I cannot source one here.
The guy also forgot to cut out the servo hatch. No big deal though, five minute job.
