b717doc, I live "just down the road" from you, and yes Atlanta is pretty sorry for a large city when it comes to local hobby shops. Just to the north of you in Kennasaw is Hobby Town USA on Barrett parkway, and to the south in Newnan Ga. is Allison Performance Hobbies (a good "hole in the wall" local hobby shop) Both of them have a stock of balsa and plywood for building. I shop at both stores. Are you new to the area? I have been flying RC in this area for about nine years and have seen at least four good hobby stores (OK one was not good) go out of business on this side of town. There is plenty of RC clubs and flying activity but local hobby stores seem doomed around here. Anyone else in the Atlanta area want to chime in on LHS advice.
