I believe there is a mistake in the Operator's Manual for the DLE 30 on page nine (9)
step three (3). It states "Next, set the engine at the top of the compression stroke. Note
the position of the ignition magnet with engine inverted"

I think it should read, Next, set the engine at the beginning of the compression stroke.
Note the position of the ignition magnet with engine inverted.

This would also match the picture above step three (3)

What do you think?
Thanks Robert
You must have purchased your engine from Tower Hobbies, that manual was not written by DLE, it was written by someone at Hobby Services. That is not the only mistake in their maual andfrom what I've heard the service people have the same lack of understanding and product knowledge.
From reading these manuals, I get the idea they were written by individuals willing to write them and not necessarily by someone with a lot of gas engine knowledge and they certainly didn't consult several others for procedural concept and proof reading before publishing the many errors I've seen.

A guy at the flying field the other day was quoting from the manual and I said that was wrong about his DLE 55. He went to the truck and got the manual out to show me the gospel from the Tower manual. I said it was still wrong! He insisted it was correct because it was in the manual.
