Some light washes of gray, and a dusting with an airbrush can take away that purplish hue. You might want to aplpy a winter whitewash over that. I think if you did, you might be pleasantly surprised how good it would look. The shade is just a little off, but that could be just your photo lighting as well.
Tank looks good and "barney" can easily be toned down.
