Not true, if using a dedicated power lead for the ignition off of the same receiver A123 battery and an optical ignition kill switch like so many of my customers......you don't need a second switch (but have the option to use that second switch if you wish) By switching your ignition on and off thorough the opto isolated kill switch the ignition power is shut off when switched or radio shut down. No extra power draw during the time the plane is sitting waiting to go out again...I have let them sit with no battery draw.

I am using an A123-1100 for some 70+ flights on my Slide-58 profile with this exact setup. I am using an A123-2300 on my 50cc Suhkoi profile with this exact setup... Also run ignition off of one of my A123-2300 same way in the 40% plane.
