Here is the first video. Sorry my finger was in the way. There are also a lot of willow tree branches that got cought up on the rudder. Other than that It ran awesome on the MM esc with no water through it. Ran 3 5K mah packs.

I got it off eBay from Hobby Mart for around $90. The ESC had caught fire which is why it was for sale. The water inlets to the motor were clogged so I decided to pull the motor apart and see if it needed maintenance. There was a strand of wire from the windings that had come lose and was hitting the rotor and sparking. Don't know if this is what originally caused the stock ESC to blow, and it also had a bit of drag on the rotor so I shimmed the front bearing and now its spins smooth and freely. Got that all cleared away and figured I would install a spare MM ESC with no water jacket and see what it would do considering that the boat comes with a 30 amp ESc and the MM is rated for 100A continues. I was also surprised with the fact that my Flightmax soft packs fit perfectly inside!!! Got everything centered and the LiPo as far forward as possible. I threw it in my pool and ran it back and forth for a few minutes giving it fast bursts trying to get the ESC to heat up. My pool is big enough to get it to plane for a few seconds, then off throttle and turn. The ESC was barely warm. I think it will do just fine for my budget boat for now. I'm taking it to the local pond tomorrow to test the ESC further, see if it heats up too much, and get it tuned:rockon2:
