Super, I have this plane right here, with a rear carb DLE30 on it. The cowl sits right where you put it, and there is plenty of room for this engine. I can take pictures if you want. No need to touch the firewall! It is very light and flies like a dream. In fact, it is way lighter than my AW 90/120 size Yak with the DLE 30 on it. It's like we're talking about two different planes here maybe?
No need for that. I was just going by the measurements given in the online instructions on Hanger Nine's site. They were showing it had just 5.9" firewall to spinner distance. The 30 is a good bit more than that. Could be the manual has not been updated or the cowl can accommodate a longer engine and it is not specified.
