Default RE: ESM 50cc Corsair

I just want to comment on a couple of things....
When dealing with a warbird that needs nose weight;
If you are going to be using a loud, 2-stroke single gasiline engine, and going to be placing it in a warbird..............
You have better have something that runs reliable.....
The zenoah engine line is certainly reliable....and powerfull if you take off the power robbing stock mufflers off them.
ALso....Looking at a manufactures HP figures to choose a engine, is about as reliable as OJ simpson proving his inocence by not being able to fit the
black glove on his hand in the court room....
Don't base your choice of engines by this alone....

I don't own any zenoah engines....but have heard very good things about them...
There are also many other fine engines for choices as well....
3w, DA, Revolution50, fuji, fox, BME, os, Saito (gasoline)
The downfall with many gas singles is the short prop shaft....The head hangs in the breeze....
The Revolution has a long prop shaft, and keeps everything tucked nicely withing the cowl....
Downfall is also it's best attribuite....you have to baffel accordingly, or purchase the impeller and cowling...

Engine reliability in a warbird should be very high, if not the top of the list when considering engines...

It's late, and don't know what I even typed....hope it makes sence...
Cheers...
