Have you ever or have you seen a plane where someone tossed counter balances on the ailerons?
I almost did it on this plane. I think it looks cool as hell!!

The 4*60 wing was framed when I got it. I could easily have cut into the last wing bay and ran counter balances 3 inches wide on the tips of my ailerons. I'd have left the lite ply tip rib in place though. My aileron counter balance tip would have been 1/16 inch inside that last rib. I guess the counter balances would have been about 1 inch of 1.5" ahead of the hinge line.

Got the stripes on the bottom of the wing.
