Peter and Arcteryxxx,
Thanks!!!

Arcteryxxx,
Dude, you are setting the bar WAY high! ACK!!!

The 8x8 prop WAS turning at a hair over 28,000, giving a pitch speed of 212mph. So your ears are very well calibrated if you take Mopar's findings on the 8x8 pushing the plane to within a few mph of pitch speed.

But it looks like I have some drag cleanup to do on my airframe. Actual airspeed was less than the 212 pitch speed by more than a few mph.
I do have the motor wires hanging out pretty messily, and haven't quite figured out how to get them better tucked in. I think my verticals also came out a little on the large side. They'll be going under the saw shortly. The packing tape hinge gap wipers are also thicker than I'd like, so I'll be looking for a new material to make them from.

All said, though, it WAS fast!
And it's nice to know it has the ability to go faster! The Green Monster motor was running at 84% KV efficiency.
