The only difference between the CRRC26CCV1 and the V2 is the mounting system and the length of the crank case as far as I know.Check the CRRC website and see this. They are the same engine with the same specs except for measurements, The V2 is not like a new updated improved version just different measurements. The V2 islonger and kind of looks like a nitro block.V2 uses traditionaltype engine mounts(included) andtheV1 mounts to planes withthewood engine mount box with standoffs (included) ifnecessary.
I'm going with the V1 in my CMpro Marathon looks like it is made for it and will fit nicely inside the cowl.
