Hi Mike,
Must be xtremely frustrating and sorry to hear. Just checked the records here at Skymaster. You have placed the order with Eric Clapp. The Eric Clapp placed the order with RCI. We only knew about order on the 19th October. We only received some payment on the 5th of December.
So it seems there is a communication problem between the individuals. Your BD5 will be ready in January for shipment.I will keep you informed...
Regards
Morne
IMO anytime an order is received for a kit but no payment then after two weeks Skymaster should notfiy the dealer that placed the order along with the customer.
I see no reason for kit orders made in OCT not being started or notfcation as status of the order being made in late DEC.
How do you know the dealer wasn't notified by Skymaster? Skymaster would not know who the customer is if the order was placed through a dealer. Interesting that this subject has come up as I've had concerns about ordering through some of these dealers. Obviously, BVM is a reputable company but, many of these "dealers" are one man shows who offer a discounted price and want full payment up front.
You are taking your chances when and if they actually send Skymaster the money. Times are tough, what if they go belly up before doing so? Then you're going to blame Skymaster. I think you are better off to pay full price and go through a reputable dealer ( not that the ones mentioned are not) . I recall threads on RCU a year or 2 ago when the Fei Bao dealer took money from customers and (according to Fei Bao) didn't pay for the planes.

I thought the kits were shipped direct from the factory to the cust that means the factory knows who the cust is and if not they to insure they do.
