Sorry no pics or videos. But it was a success.

I let one of the instructors perform the maiden flight. Just a bad habit I've gotten into. With the used Super Tiger 90 engine, I just didn't want to take a chance. First flight, required a small amount of trim, but other than that, she flew great. Engine died just before touchdown. but with the CG at 5.25, it landed perfectly. Ok so with the dead stick I decide to throw in a new glow plug, added some more fuel, and started her up again. I noticed the exhaust manifold was leaking so I tightened up the exhaust bolts and restarted, leak was no longer present. Once strated, the engine would die as soon as I gave it throttle input. We richened up the low end and got it near perfect. So I ran up to full throttle and back to idle twice. On the third time, while going to full throttle the engine died again. I decided to bag it for the day. I plan on removing the carb and cleaning it real good and trying again. I let one of guys getting rid of some fuel the last time we flew, add it to my fuel, same percentage 15%. Maybe just bad fuel, but will remove the carb and clean it any way. Can't hurt. Other than that I flew my PA addiction. What a blast that plane is to fly!!! A good day and I didn't nor did the instructor notice any bad habits with the Twist 60. As soon as I get the the engine tuned in, she want sit still very long!!
happy new year all!!!
