RE: Sachs 4.2 Carb Issue
Will give that a try. A little more history on the engine. I got it two weeks ago from a friend who bought it at a local hobby shop some years ago. My friend only bench run the engine once or twice. The original needle settings were Low = 1/4 turn open and High = 3/4 turn open.....with my experience on walbro carbs and 2 stroke engines this was WAY off to me. They usually start and I believe are recommended by walbro to start at 1-1/2 turns on both needles. I was hoping someone would have a good starting point reconmendation. I will definately give the 2 turns LOW and @ on high a try and go out to 3 on the High if needed.
Really the biggest problem seems to be the cruddy low end. The idle is almost non existant. It's either a high rpm idle or nothing. Of course getting the needles right should help bunches.
