RE: Sachs 4.2 Carb Issue
Like I stated earlier, This thing is as close to perfection as I think it can get. Took the idle stop out and BAM! A little adjustment in the radio on travel and everything is as it should be. Motor dies at Low / Low settings and landing rpm(sound) at mid trim. (Also, OLV is 402'MSL, wont see sea level until i trek the Piper Cherokee to Miami next Xmas!-X51= 7ft MSL).
Also, Yes I believe that the glow fuel is the reason for the higher settings in the needles. Gas should start at the 1-1/2 turn settings on the carb per the manufacturer (carb or engine) recomendations. Glow (alcohol) fuel requires a higher setting to achieve the proper fuel/air (pressure) setting. I have read this on MANY different carb websites and elsewhere....you know, its on the InterNet so it must be true!!!!!!!!!! LoL
