Crimping is done in the space shuttle, Air planes and All high amperage industrial substations. You need the proper tool and good crimps. Try Goggling crimping vs soldering and you will find alot of good reading.
*Note- I am not trying to say power poles are better then deans, Just crimp connections have been proved to be mechanically stronger then solder
