I have herd that before, But what is the trim knob for if not for makingminor adjustments. I know if you trim too far one way or the other your carb wont open all the way or your brakes will drag but for what other reason is it not good practice? Not trying to be a dink, just trying to figure out why its such a big deal to use it if it isntcausing any other problems.
I don't think you're a dink.
The trim is a bandaid for quick adjustments but its always good to have things set properly and not rely on it.
I had an engine with the gap just a bit too small and I used the trim to set it right in a hurry. The engine would stall when I would quickly flip to brake because the servo overshot a tiny bit and the gap was too narrow.<br type="_moz" />
