Who is the kit manufacturer?? If they are still in business you can contact them and see if you can get a new set of plans. Most of the better manufacturers will replace the plans for you at low/no cost. For instance, I recently bought a Sig 4-Star 120 from a friend who had purchased it from Sig. When I finally got around to opening it up the plans were missing. A call to Sig had a replacement set of plans heading my directlon at no cost. I would see if you can go that route first and see if you can get a fresh new set of plans.
