Default RE: All in a days flying for the beginner

Wellllll... I can't say it ever happened to me, but I CAN say that I've seen the results. And, it was pretty spectular, from the perspective of a spectator. It wasn't so happy for the pilot.

This is why I always say to beginners, the very last thing you do before leaving the starting bench or the ground starting point, even before doing a range check, is to stand behind the plane and move the aileron stick. Move it to the right and the right aileron goes up, the left goes down. Move it to the left and the left goes up and the right goes down. Anything different, shut down and fix the problem.

But, congrats on saving the plane. We can say that this could only happen to a beginner, but you had enough savy to use the rudder and get it back on the ground safely. Great start in a fun filled hobby.
