Default RE: Screen goes black?

Hello Mike, here is what happened............

Hello, My RDS800 screen goes black when exposed to sunlight for 5 minutes or more. It has done this since new. I thought it was normal until another flyer at my field said his RDS8000 never has had this problem.

He left his RDS in the sun for 20 minutes to show me that his radio does not have this problem, and sure enough, it was fine.

Can you help me? Thanks!
