It is a gamble... but even Horizon ceases after a while to provide parts for discontinued planes. I'm currently doing my first build up of a Nitro Models plane and have found the fit and finish to be very good and a pleasure to work with. If it flies well (others have said it does) I'll be happy with the reality that if it goes in hard... then oh well, I'm not out major bucks on an air frame.
If one is to think of things as a gamble, then one option is to have a Stick in the hanger. With no cowl or canopy they make a great everyday flier thus reducing the chances against evil happening to the good looking stuff for.
