RE: CAN-AM Field for 2011 ***ATTENTION CLUB MEMBERS***
I feel I need to take a moment and talk about the following.
When this club started last September, it was a vision that Dennis Acosta and I shared. We chose the location, date and time, and you all attended. With Dennis's absence, I have been making those decisions (Times, Dates, Blog, Youtube Videos) to keep the momentum, so I hope you all don't feel that I am running this club like a Dictatorship. I hope you all feel that this is your club too, and your opinions do count.
The initial vision that Dennis and I shared was one where Tankers would bring their tanks and terrain to the Battle Day, and depart with what they brought. So in keeping with that vision, I'd rather not have a club bank account or club property. Membership fees and applications can be delivered to the Community Center's on site mail box on the Battle days.
If club members do want to contribute to the club, do so by bringing trees, buildings, burnt out tanks, figures, vehicles, a bag of sand or dirt (you can leave this one behind lol). Like I told Frank, you may be able to store some of these on site, but in keeping with the initial vision, I don't think we should have 'Club Property'.
I pursued The Black Creek Community Center because it is central to the club's demographic, one that would encompass both sides of the boarder, it had toilets, lots of space, and it was cheap.
That being said, I hope you are happy with the decisions I have made, the direction the club has been going, and will want to contribute to it. Again, your opinions do matter.
