Default NewB with Triton2 EQ Needs Help

Hey there,

For all that are curious - Iended up getting the DX-7 and couldn't be happier. But what I should have done is also asked about chargers. Instead, Iwent flying today (brought home 1 broke and 1 intact plane so I'm getting better) and started talking to a pro about charging and lipo's and stuff. He brought over his little doo-dad and saw that one cell was lower than 3v and immediately brought over his balancing charger with lcd readouts and everything. I have seen the videos about how these batteries blow up, so now Iwas worried. Within a couple minutes my battery was balancedand all was well, butImade the decision to goto the hobby shop right then and get a "good" charger.

The guyhad a Hyperion and the Triton2 EQ.He said the Triton was the latest and greatest and would accept a return on the new Hyperion duel if I didn't like it. Ileft the shop with a positive attitude knowing Icould now take the guess workand risk of using the cheap chargers that come with RTF flyers.

Got home, set it up and programmed the memory for my 4 batteries, then went to check the balancing and found out I couldn't do it. It didn't come with the patch cord that goes from thebatteries output (black and red) to bannana clips that goin the unit. This meant another trip to the HS for the cord, but I felt Icould at least check the cellswith the balancer hooked up, but this was not the case.

Then I figured I would look online to see ifothers had figured it outand all Isaw were posts about how crappy this charger was and how bad the cust. service was.

Should Itry to make this one work, or just return it for the Hyperion?
