Default RE: Any WINTER {SNOW} fliers?

14 Degrees! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr. I had everything below 32 removed from my thermometer.

Got in some bitter cold Texas weather flying Saturday. Started out at 35 degrees, got up to mid-50's.

Had an engine failure when I went inverted. I suspected that the fuel pickup "clunk" was not moving properly.

First picture shows the fuel tube in the upright position, next the inverted position. Seems like the tubing that came with the stopper took a "set" and not just because of the cold weather, both pickup tubes were put in about three months ago. I replace them every six months.

The last picture shows a torn stopper, that may have been my fault, it is possible that I overtightened it.
