I went to lube the drive system tonight, stock apache, ran boat 7 or 8 times all in fresh water. Are the set screws on the motor coupler, drive dog and u-joint are royal pain to break loose or did I miss a memo somewhere? I had to drill the set screws and was using a good 1.5 mm hex wrench. Should I have loosened them/retightened them prior to running? Bought boat about ten days ago. Is there a better driveline harware out there without having to add another rudder? Am I correct in thinking if you go with a flex cable, the stock rudder needs to be locked straight?
