I think it's a good learning aid. It definitely gets rid of the frustration factor when learning. As you get better, just tone it down to the point where you don't need it anymore.
It's like training wheels on a bike.
For all those people calling people learning with it ''noobs'', you wouldn't walk up to a little girl on a bike with training wheels and call her a ''noob'', would you?
Yes you would a noob is some one who is new at a particular thing.. Ie newbie or new. Now a scrub... Different story.
