I also personally stay away from hobbywing, ez-run, ex-run etc.... Its cheap crap and isn't supported well
I understand that this is a personal opinion, but I'm amazed it has gone this long without a challenge. I have owned many, many brushless escs and motors from Castle, MGM, Schultze, Dynamite, Scorpion, Hobbywing, Quark etc. in models from 1/36th to approaching 1/5th scale and the only products I have not had issues with have been made by Hobbywing. They just work, are easy to adjust on the fly, are underrated rather than overrated from the factory, and are cheap... I had two MMMs burn whilst Castle were publicly beta testing them (nice one), a CC Ubec catch fire, an MM-Pro that for all intents and purposes wasn't actually broken, but was just crap, an MGM catch light... The list goes on. If you live in the general North American area I'm sure that their support is great, but having to send stuff to the US from the UK is a massive hassle, and whilst their support is probably good, I'd rather their gear just worked in the first place. That's my personal opinion. Anyway...
