I have an ASP FS400AR that I just tried in my cowl. If the prop shaft was about 1 1/8" longer, I think it would work with the rocker box covers in place. They would touch the cowl, but with some teflon tape it would probably work.
I am not sure if the Saito is larger in diameter than the ASP. I think that the cowl entry diameter probably would be okay, depending on the cowl outlet size. I have not started on the Staggerwing yet, too many other projects.
