RE: Official HPI Blitz Thread!!
I just don't believe it when people claim the hobby wing stuff doesn't blow up, get hot and kills comparable castle or novak systems performance-wise. For example the CMS motors all my friends drive (I just switched and can't drive right now) have no issues with heat - I question what gearing and batteries people are running when these things blow up. The castle stuff is hard core and pushed hard. The tolerances on the components are tighter which makes them less forgiving (which is actually a good thing) and the result is balancing heat with the best performance possible. If a system doesn't run hot its not being pushed. There aren't miracle cures for heat that makes a motor run with identical performance with a fraction of the heat - simple physics can't be avoided.<div>
</div><div>I have never had a problem with a castle or novak system and their support is amazing that creates confidence in their stuff. If the price difference is a factor of two remember you are talking about something that still costs less than 200 dollars (or 100 pounds). If that is a lot of money to people then by all means go cheap but I can't afford to buy cheap, it always costs me more in the long run when I cut corners.</div>
